Don't be Judas
So today is Sunday and I haven't been to nine-thirty in AGES! Apparently when you plan a wedding you have to go home ALOT and by ALOT I mean every weekend (just about). But due to finals I opted to stay home this weekend (shout out to my Amazing mom on Mother's Day, she has NO clue how grateful I am for her) and was really excited to be at FBC this morning! Anyways, my Lifegroup leader Bill Davis talked about Judas and his betrayal of Jesus (John 12) in his lesson this morning. How Judas sold Him out and then moments later allowed Him to wash his feet as if nothing had ever happened. Bill stressed to us the importance of not living a double life. I know we are all guilty of this. We forget to read His word, pray, tithe,or give Him praise for all the amazing things he's done for us (like giving us amazing mother's!). All these things are hypocritical. And no, we didn't sell Jesus out, but in a way we do by denying Him what's truly His and what He deserves. He is absolutely amazing and when you stop and think about everything He's done for you and given you, it's pretty ridiculous actually! This week it will be my goal to really appreciate what He's blessed me with and be able to go to church next Sunday and sit in His house and not feel like a hypocrite for denying Him what he truly deserves; our praise. So let's not be Judas!
