The last few days/weeks, all I've heard or seen on facebook is constant ranting about the Rangers, Yankees, who is a fan, who isn't a fan, "Go Rangers", "Go Yankees", "Rangers you can do it", "It's ok Yankees, you will get them next time", etc...(You get my drift).
Anyways, this whole post is to proclaim my hate for baseball.
Yes, I said, I hate baseball. It's by far the most boring sport to watch and the one professional baseball game I went to, I fell asleep. (No kidding. I got a good little nap in) Is this un-American? Probably. Do I care? Not at all!
On a more positive note (sourda), people keep griping about "Bandwagon Ranger fans". Who cares!
**It's not like Texas where everyone and their dog is a Texas fan because they Always win. (By the way, those t-shirt fans probably aren't so proud to wear orange right now are they? Maybe we will start to see a little more red and black in the clothing section of Wal-mart. haha)
Back to my rant....
People who normally don't care that much are proud that the underdog is actually winning AND that they are from Texas! Texas pride? Heck yeah! I think its awesome that people are excited for them. Now me, on the other hand, I could still care less. But for those new Rangers fans who don't now CJ something or other from Josh Hamilton, keep cheering, I see nothing wrong with it.

The fashions...
Sometimes I wonder how people got into college. If you lack the basic understanding of what is socially acceptable and what isn't, then how on earth did a University decide your application was worth while? Maybe they should follow every applicant around for an entire week with out their knowledge? That's probably illegal but could be worth their while. For example (and the reason this post came into being): it is not, in any way, under any circumstances, acceptable to wear house shoes to class. It really doesn't matter if you live on campus, if you were running late (I mean really, who doesn't have time to put shoes on?), if you didn't feel like putting clothes on, or just how comfortable they are. It is Never ok! And quite frankly it's disgusting.
Yep, that's my vent for today.

The New Crafty Wall Art!
It's late, a little past my bedtime, but the hubs is playing video games and I just finished a super sweet new craft! This, by the way, was not on my original craft to-do list but I saw the idea, saw the perfect little nook for them, and couldn't resist.
Please excuse the pictures...they might be blurry, but considering it's so late, my vision has gone from 20/20 to....................... something worse than that.
The little blue one will eventually get some fun flowers and so will a couple others. But this is all I could accomplish in one night!
On a sad note, our first succulent bit the dust.....
I've been debating wether or not we should leave them in their cute little bubbles or not, but I think this proves that hanging them up that high leaves them withough enough adult supervision.....or water.
I suppose we will have to tackle home depot again and replace our little fellow.

So I finally finished my first 'fall' project (one of many). I made this little guy and he might just be the cutest thing ever...seriously!
I found this super cute bat I wanted to make, but who wants tons of Halloween decorations to store in a 1-bedroom apartment? Not me, that's whoo. So I decided to make an All-season owl who I will adorn with bat wings, santa hat, bunny ears, etc...
I made an awesome little trip to Goodwill and found some great little goodies that I'm going to use in our bedroom....
some super cute, old-school books that I"m going to use for whatever I please, and silver candle holders!
All for $12...Awesome!
After my Goodwill trip, I made a stop by Hobby Lobby (only my favorite place Ever!) and picked up some more craft stuff! Clearly I made the owl from the felt I bought, but the other stuff? Well, you will see what I have in mind soon!

The married life....
So this is my first post since the wedding and the first time I've blogged in FOREVER!! Once we get our wedding pictures I will post some on here.
Today I made Chicken Parmesan in my new crock pot and I just pulled a dump cake out of the oven (Delish!!). My dump cake was so perfect I had to take a picture of it, which is what inspired me to blog again!
This dump cake took me a little while to make....I had part of it done already and while heating up the 2nd stick of butter, it exploded all over the microwave. Aaand it was my last stick of butter.....
Chicken paresan in the making...
(Please note...I've never actually made chicken parmesan or even had it, and I have no clue how to make it! haha So I just kind of made it up!)
And here's the finished product...I realize something green would have looked much more visually appealing, but I really wanted corn!
On another food note....
funny story....
I was making chicken and dumplings the night before last and gave Shelby the job of opening up the biscuits. As we all know, when you pull the tab, they usually don't pop open like they are supposed to. So despite Shelby's attempt to bang it against the counter top, this guy was determined to stay in the tube. In a last attempt to open it, Shelby grabs the tube and thrusts it upwards against the edge of the counter hitting the metal seal Just right, causing the tube to Literally explode EVERYWHERE!! We died laughing for about 5 minutes straight until we could finally gain composure to clean it up. We had biscuits all over the kitchen, floor, and even the couch in the living room! (I wasn't kidding when I said it exploded!) Imagine those little confetti tubes, ya know the ones where you pull the string which pops the top and confetti comes out...yah...just like that! It was Awesome!
