So remember that post about me getting all fit and what not? It's clearly not paying off. Granted I lost 2 lbs, but to be honest that just kind of hacks me off! Work out for weeks, eat all kinds of healthy crap and all I get is 2 lbs? Well, part of my motivation to work out, other than to get my chunky butt in shape, was this mud run we decided to sign up for a few months ago.
Let me preface this next part by saying, I hate running. It hurts and if something causes me pain, well I'd rather just not take part. So my work-out regime has consisted of long periods of time on the elliptical. It's similar to running right? I found out last Saturday that it most certainly is Not. I typically do around 2.5 miles on it most days plus weights and such, so I figured when this mud run came around I would be fine through most of it and only hate my life towards the last mile. Little did I know that I would hate my life the. entire. time. In fact I felt a good cramp coming on within my first 500 yards and knew immediately, this is going to suck!
And it did.
In fact my only saving grace was another couple, our good friends, that hadn't really trained for it, and they were nice enough to carry me. Not really, but I was not above asking. Where was my husband through all of this? I'm not really sure. In fact he beat all of us. Although, he was nice enough to stop one time to make sure I wasn't dead in the bushes somewhere.
Enough of all that here are a few lovely pictures for your enjoyment...
And this is what we did once we scrubbed all the mud off...

Feeling Sassy
I’ve been feeling sassy the last few days.
Well...Ok, let’s get real, I tend to be sassy most of the time.
I know, I know, you’re thinking “Sassy? You’re never sassy”. You're right, I’m perfectly delightful. But, lately sassy McSasspants is my middle name. Let me give you just a couple examples:
1) I may or may not have instructed my co-workers to oust someone from our friend group because her schedule was too complicated and “Clearly she is too popular for us”.
2) Just like I may or may not have told another co-worker I would have her babies. I mean, she has Really good grammar and who wants a dumb kid that can’t spell?? Not me that’s who. I will gladly accept egg donations from anyone that’s beautiful or intelligent.
Call me vain but don’t act like you don't stress about whether or not your future children will be ugly...or dumb. It's a valid concern.
On a less sassy note:
I saw my first real protestors while I was lost in downtown yesterday.
Yes, after 1 year of working downtown, I still got lost. Apparently 7th street is the new 3rd street. What was supposed to be a shortcut to avoid traffic turned into a self-enacted grand tour of the entire downtown area.
Here are some protestors that are way cooler than the ones I saw...

It's brag time
I feel like bragging.
Bragging on my new fit self. And when I say 'fit' I mean I've actually started working out. And when I say 'working out' I mean I've been doing slightly more than just sitting on my couch.
Let me preface this by saying, I hate working out. Yep, I'm a natural lazy bum who is perfectly content sitting on the couch for hours upon end and no, I won't get bored. My husband on the other hand, a restful Saturday lazing around?(it's a new word, look it up) Not gonna happen.
Not long ago I made the executive decision (because I can do that) that I was going to start working out. I was tired of being unhappy with what I saw in the mirror and I was going to do something about it. Now, if you know me, you know my self-motivation is Severely lacking. However, that has changed! Sort of.
For about 2 weeks now I've been working out at my office's sweet work-out room and I've been loving it. Crazy right! I actually worked out 2x yesterday, once after work and then I ran with the hubs when he got home and for the first time in a LONG time, I wasn't dying! It. Was. Awesome.
Now don't get me wrong, I'm not a total couch potato. I played sports in school, ran track, etc. and have always been pretty active but when it comes to making myself work out, I have no desire. The husband, sister, cousin, all of them have tried to motivate me, 'It's cool, you run on ahead! I have no shame in walking!' and I will complain the. whole. time. and again, I'm not ashamed.
Where did my sudden surge of motivation come from? I prayed about it. Seriously. I prayed for motivation and God said, 'You got it girl!'. At least that's how I imagine it, while he gives me a wink and thumbs up. Now I'm somewhat of a slow learner (true story). When God does cool things for me, it tends to take me awhile to catch on. I typically have a reaction somewhat like, "So Thaaaat's why I've been motivated! I prayed about it! Duh!". < that reaction tends to happen mid prayer-as I'm praying for motivation. Moral of the story, my God is pretty awesome and I'm going to have a rockin' hot bod! Like this..

Not Really.

Makeova
As you can tell, I've given my blog a little make over. I tend to be indecisive so if you've been checking out my blog the last few days, it's probably looked different every time. Although, I think I've finally decided I like it!
What do you think??
No, I'm no professional and I have absolutely no clue what HTML or CSS codes mean but I can make my way around Paint (but then again who can't). I did get a little help from Leelou Blogs though. I snatched up one of her free banners as you can see from my header. I copy and pasted it into Paint, added my own title and the dots around it! 100 edits later I finally decided I like it!
Tell me what you think......and go!

True story
Its a true story...
that after working at my job for a few weeks I finally got brave enough to venture into our break room (it's literally 15 ft from my cube), where I discovered our ice machine. Ah-mazing. I'm talking epic.
And it's a true story that I filled a cup up of ice before I left one day just so the husband could fully experience it's awesomeness.
He wasn't near as thrilled as I was.
It's a true story that when leaving the bathroom stall I open the door, flush the toilet and run away quickly.
I've heard those suckers can splash 7 ft!
I don't know about you but I'm not gonna risk it.
It's a true story that my husband got me a present that came in the mail today. But apparently I can't have it until he gets home AND he told me not to look around the living room too much, because that's where it's at.
Really? Why would you tempt me like that?
It's a true story that my husband is great. I'm sure your dying to know why I'm getting a present...?
Just to say thanks for taking care of him when he was sick!
Maybe I should leave out the fact that I'm the one who got him sick.... oops.
It's a true story that although I worked out after work today, I just ate my weight in saltine crackers.
Crap.

Traffic Report
There are giant thunderstorms rolling into Ft. Worth as we speak, so naturally people driving. freak. out. And when I say they are 'rolling in' that means they aren't here yet, meaning everyone decided to freak out about the measly 40mph winds and the looming prospect of a storm.

I say measly because when your from West TX, 40 mph winds is a nice day. In the DFW they put out wind advisories and tell everyone to hold on to their babies and their panties and take cover.
Needless to say, traffic sucked.
I've decided to look on the bright side of this crap situation and point out the.....
Good things about traffic
1) I take a not so convenient but different route out of downtown and the cool factor of downtown Ft.Worth never ceases to amaze me.
2) I get more time to jam in my car. and I looove jammin in my car. I wish I could say I unashamedly sing and dance, but I don't, instead I shamedly (??) sing whenever I'm not passing anyone. And maybe make little dancing hands under the steering wheel where people can't see me (they can probably see me).
-Because ya know, I might just see the person in the car next to me again and they are going to judge me for singing in my car....
What I should be more concerned about is the guy at my apartment complex that saw me taking this of myself.....

3) Having gas in my tank and not being in a hurry to get anywhere
So there it is....me, being positive.
Take note, it doesn't happen often.

Pick one.
In case your wondering why I never write anything on here, I like to wait several months between each of my posts, I feel like it keeps the suspense going for the 3 people that might actually read this blog.
Anyway...
Through-out the day I continuously think of awesome things to blog about but I never actually do, until today. I just thought this conversation was too epic not to share....(and honestly, Shelby and I could be the only ones who think its funny)
Actual texts between the husband and myself:
Last night...
Haley: Can we get a 3-legged cat named Billy Bob? Oooor a hairless Chinese crested mix puppy?
(I was bored and looking at animals on Craigslist)
For you viewing pleasure, Billy Bob the cat:

And for even more viewing pleasure, Gargoyle. The very hairless Chinese crested mix puppy:

Adorable right?! I mean, how could you possibly choose between the two? A cat with 3 legs or a hairless dog. Maybe we should get them both!
Needless to say, Shelby never answered my text, until our conversation today....
Haley: Can I get a $35 car detailing coupon?
Shelby: No.
Shelby: We have no money.
Haley: Babe, it's either that or Billy Bob the cat...you choose.
Haley: Babe, I think I need that desk and those barstools from Craigslist
(Don't tell me these aren't awesome...because they are)

Shelby: One chair costs $100! I choose Billy Bob.
Haley: But he's old and will probably die soon...barstools last forever!
Shelby: Barstools can't love you back like a 3-legged cat.
Haley: This conversation is awesome.
So maybe I'm the only one who thinks this conversation was great. Although, if you don't, you are probably lame...I'm just sayin.

High Risin'
So I have yet to talk about my new job (that's not so new anymore) at a fancy pants corporate office. I spent 1 year in the store in Lubbock but around 6 months of being there I decided I wanted to pursue a position at the home office. Shelby and I decided we were going to move to Ft. Worth whether I got a job or not (yes, we are super responsible)but just days before we moved I got a call from HR letting me know that I got the job in Store Operations. God has some pretty sweet timing! So for the sake of bragging, here is the sweet building I get to work in everyday...(except today, it's my day off)

Please ignore that fact that this picture
was taken through my car window.

This was my first day at work and
I clearly overestimated the amount of time
it would take to get there.
I was close to 45 minutes early.
So obviously there was nothing else to do except take pictures of my 'nervous face'.
Ignore the weird angle, I had to hold my camera so the guy sitting
in his car next to me wouldn't see me taking pictures of myself
and think I was weird.

The not so humble abode.
Our apartment is finally, somewhat finished. At least the part we've taken pictures of and decided to share. We think it's awesome, because it is. And, when I say 'we', I'm referring to Shelby and myself because he contributed a lot and not just to the hanging, building man stuff but to the design concept as well. Once we finally figured out exactly what our style was it was pretty easy. However, I feel like our timing to post pictures of our apartment was bad, with Pinterest on the rise I feel like everyone assumes that you got all your ideas from it. Well, we didn't. In fact none of them came from it and I told Shelby that I would be thoroughly offended if someone asked me if they did. So don't.
Now I basically live life never content (That's right, I said 'not content') at least when it comes to design, our apartment and all things crafty. I will love it one minute but in the next I'm thinking about how I can make if better or different. So our apartment is constantly changing. But for now, that is what it looks like.
Basically our entire apartment is DIY and that's no exaggeration.
Yes, those are pallets on the wall. I'm so obsessed with pallets it's getting ridiculous.
Curtains: Pier 1 (shout out)
I loved their vintage 70's feel when I first saw them and waited and waited to buy them and when I finally did and hung them behind our tv stand (old apartment), I didn't like them very much. But, now with the contrast of our black table in front, I love them!
Table: Pier 1 (shout out again) but I added white geometric trim to it.
Chairs: Grandma's house. Literally. I'm not the biggest fan, but when I painted them black and added stripes I decided they were great...and free. (Notice only one chair has stripes. Yeah, I have issues finishing projects)
Shelves: Cheap-o wall brackets from Lowes with our books stacked on top as well as random vintage finds we have come across.
'E': Vintage find in Dallas. Yes, we know the letter 'e' is completely insignificant to us
Dear Head: Shelby or someone in his fam killed and I painted
Frames: Thrifted and still not filled with pictures
Literally the only thing we have actually purchased new in our living room is the couch and cow hide. We were forced to buy a new couch when our old one wouldn't fit through the door. Although this one wasn't much better. Shelby and I almost divorced each other after trying to get it in. Note to self: don't be cheap. Pay for delivery!
TV Stand: On its way to the trash at my father-in-laws auction house. I saw its potential and now its my favorite thing ever. I just wish I had a 'before' picture!
Side Table: I've blogged about it before, but dad and I built it together.
I will eventually post pictures of all my before and afters but that could take awhile.

Epic Fail of the day.
Let me just preface this post with a bit of an explanation. I haven't blogged since, oh, forever, and there is ALOT that has gone on since then. 1st off, we've moved. Moved to the good ole' DFW, that's right, we're big time. Maybe that's a small thing to most but the Shelbs and I are pretty much small town all around and we like us some Big Spring (surprising I know) and even more than that we love being close to our families. But we are young, have degrees, and have nothing holding us back so we decided to move.
Initially we decided we were moving whether we had jobs or not but figured we could always transfer with our current jobs if need be. Fortunately enough for me, I was offered a position in my company's Corporate Office...a big awesome high rise right in the middle of down town Fort Worth (seriously...it's way cool). So this is where I've been for the past 2 weeks, trying to adjust to big city life, having a real 8-5 job, traffic, big high rises, confusing down town aaaaand parking garages.....which brings me to....
The Epic Fail of the Day....
So my company actually shares a building with Chesapeake Energy and with that brings many contractors on site for....I have no clue what for...regardless, there is a separate parking lot for just contractors that doesn't require any form of parking sticker, authorization, or ...shade. This is where I've been parking for 2 weeks and my little car has been roasting in the sun. On Tuesday, while eating my sandwich in my car (because I'm lame have no one to eat lunch with yet), I finally remembered to get my license plate # and turn it in so I could get my little sticker and park in the parking garage.
The next morning, I had my sticker and I was psyched to park in the shade. Unfortunately as I got closer I realized how daunting that gate seemed and I wasn't really sure what to do and I might have creepily parked outside for a little bit and watched other people going in to make sure I knew what to do. Fairly confident in my observation skills I pulled out and up to the gate, rolled down my window and pressed the button, but nothing happened, so I pushed it again as well as everything else that closely resembled a button (all the while people are lining up behind me waiting for me to figure it out) and finally security comes on through the little speaker asking if I needed something.
I need to get through the stupid gate!
(I didn't really say that)
They so nicely informed me I need to swipe my super cool key card (which I'm really stoked about and love wearing around) and the gate will open.
Ok, easy enough...swipe, voila, I'm in.
I pull in and see all these parking spots and wonder 'why is no one parking in these spots? It's right by the door! I'm thinking 'Heck to the Yeah this parking spot rocks!' Good job.
Fast forward to lunch, I decide to go fill up my car. It takes me THREE tries to find the level my car is on. Luckily no one saw me walk up the stairs, out the door, back in the door, down the stairs, out another door, back in the door, down some more stairs, out the door and finally! I found it! So obviously irritated at this point I get to my car and realize I forgot to lock it. I quickly did a run down of all things important to me in my car (like my target sunglasses sitting on the dash, 16 bucks....oh yeah!), fortunately everything seemed to be in place. So I pull out and at this point I'm facing in an upward direction, start driving, look to my left, to my right and realize all the arrows are pointing one way and that way takes me up....but I want to go down because that's where the exit is. So I figure I'll just go with it and assume there is some simple way to get down just around the corner.
There isn't.
I go up and up and up and around and around and around and then somewhere around 5 minutes later and thoroughly confused, I finally make it to the stupid exit and fully affirm my hatred for parking garages!
It was then that I realized why no one wants to park in all those super close parking spots, because it's impossible to get out! If you know me, you know I HATE parking garages. I feel the need to duck the whole time I'm driving because, I don't know, somehow those concrete beams aren't going to be high enough for my little car to drive under, so I must overcompensate. And what bad movie have you ever watched that someone Hasn't been killed or mugged in a parking garage? That's right, none!
So I hate them and will continue to do so, but regardless I will still park in the stupid thing because A. I have a sticker and a super cool badge that allows me too and B. my car that looks like a toaster no longer feels like one when I get inside it!
That was crazy long winded....sorry.

Yes, I know it's right after Mother's Day so one would assume that I would be blogging about my Mom, and although she is pretty much the greatest ever, I decided to blog about the ole' pops tonight.
Let me just explain a bit about what your are about to see and how it came about....
While cruising around the Crate & Barrel website I came across this driftwood table. Yes I know, it's awesome right?! But needless to say I don't have $400 to spend on an end table, so of course my creative wheels start turning contemplating how I can make my own version of this. I researched driftwood and go figure, it's all too expensive or way too small and we don't have an ocean, river, or a lake anywhere around Lubbock where I could go look for some, and the chance of finding any is pretty much slim to none. So instead of trying to re-create the same table I figured I would create my own version.
The next time I went home to Big Spring, Mom, Dad and I headed out to the farm, where Dad dumps all of our branches, with chainsaw in tow. We found the few branches that weren't mesquite trees, were the right texture and right width I had in mind, and we started sawing away. Ok, so I measured and Dad cut, and Mom helped load the logs into the car (we all played a part). I've decided my parents are pretty much amazing because what parents would give up their Sunday afternoon nap to help their daughter fulfill her crazy end table antics? That's right, mine would!
Basically I wanted to create an end table that was rustic modern with the warmth of wood. Aaaand I did!
Dad sat out in the hot hot hot garage for hours with me sawing, sanding, and screwing this table together. Ok, I'll admit, Dad did all the hard work, I just held the wood in place, but that's what makes him the best dad ever. Seriously, there's no argument.
And here's the finished product!!
I'm so proud!
It turned out exactly how I wanted! * Please ignore the excessive amount of cords running behind it.
**Shout out to the hubs who got me the glass to go on top for $1!

Zee Easter holiday.
Happy couple of days after Easter!
My Easter was awesome! For one, my Jesus rocks. Secondly, my whole fam, I mean literally the Whole fam, went to the big D town for the weekend to see my brother and sis in law.
This was Shelby's first real road trip with the Adams family and I'm sure it was quite an experience for him, because let's get real, it's always interesting with our family. It started with Dad, like always, they had some issue at work they needed him to fix so the whole loading of the car process and the first little bit of car time consisted of us all tip toeing around, whispering with a series of hand gestures in order to communicate with one another.
-Dad gets a little crazy when he's talking on the phone, in fact I'm pretty sure he got on to mom at one point because she was texting too loud. It's ok though, we gave him a hard time about it later, like always-
The rest of the trip consisted of a lot of chatting and a Really Really long, ridiculous, hilarious game of 'Go through the alphabet and think of a song title or main lyric for every letter'. This game lead to numerous mini duets, and Kendal making up a song for almost every letter due to her lack of song knowledge. Needless to say, Shelby dominated (he is like the music guru).
Aside from our interesting car ride (which could easily be an embarrassing Youtube video) we had a really fun time meeting up with my brother, sis-in-law, grandma, aunt, Christi and her kiddos.
We spent hours at Ikea, where I spent too much money, went to Bass Pro where Dad scouted out boats and we did some 'target' shooting. Then we all went to Austin and Ashley's new rent house where the kids and boys chased down river monsters and ghosts.
-It got a little crazy-
But the next morning we got to spend a lovely Sunday morning at Lakepoint, the church Austin works.
On a different note here are 2 of my latest projects...
I've really been in to black and white lately. Ok, I've been into black and white my whole life but I went through a denial stage with our living room and decided to do it in brown and greens (that was a mistake) but I have come back to reality though and I think I have finally figured out what I want, so I'm slowly making changes here and there.
This is a teesy taste of the direction our living room is going in...
I present to your our latest plant addition....The pony tail palm.
Aaaand with an updated pot....
Apparently you can't kill this plant... which is why we chose it. We can kill anything.
One more black and white thing.
This doesn't go in our living room but will be our bedroom holding some of my jewelry. I found it at my father-in-laws auction house holding all kinds of nails and screws. It was super dirty, rusty, and a horrible cream and green.
I didn't get a picture of it before I painted but believe me, it looks way better.....I mean really, look how cute it is!

And this will become...
somewhat of a DIY blog, per the request of a few of my best gals. Ok, it won't really be so much DIY, but more less a good place for me to brag about all my little projects I do around the apartment, aaaand give me something to look back on and be proud of myself all over again. I have a LOT of projects that I will have to catch up on but you will get just a taste of it today. Besides, if I posted them all at once I would no longer have anything to blog about.....except for my really random thoughts I periodically post about. Don't worry, there will be no lack of sarcasm. I know you were worried.
This project is actually super super old and I'm no longer excited about it (I still like but the 'new' phase has worn off) but I suppose I must start somewhere.
My inspiration for this whole map thing came from the globe we have in our living room that belonged to my great (or great great) grandmother. I'm not sure how old it is but regardless of the details, its an antique. Anyways, I wanted to incorporate the blue into other areas of our room.
Side Note: So I seriously thought they just handed out free maps at gas stations or that I could find some old map just anywhere for super cheap. Little did I know, that wasn't the case. It cost me like $6! I know, that isn't that much but when your super poor you tend to think about it more.
Anyhoo here's the finished product.

You know you have a good husband when....
You know you have a good husband when....
I came home from work to supper all ready and waiting for me yesterday evening. Pigs in a blanket and macaroni...one of our favorite things (yes, we are in 3rd grade). Granted he lost a bet to me, which is why he cooked for me but I give him mega props since we made the bet several weeks ago and he still remembered, AND he even made a special wal-mart yesterday afternoon to get the stuff to make it. Wandering what the bet was? A clip from Pirates of the Caribbean came on where Jack and Elizabeth are stuck on the island and she burns all the rum and trees....Anyways, he tried to say that scene was from the 2nd movie and I knew it wasn't so we bet on it aaaand he lost. Poor guy, he was set up for failure!
You know you have a good husband when....
We went running that same night and before we started he said something smart-alecky (yeah, no clue how that's spelled) to me so I decided to leave him in the dust and run without him.
** Side note**
If you know Shelby and I, you know our relationship is based on sarcasm and a constant making fun of one another, which is where the smart-alec comment comes from and me jokingly deciding to leave him in the dust...just so there's no confusion on how our relationship is going.
Back to my story...
Of course he eventually caught up to me despite my head start. During that time while Shelby was behind me, I realized this was exactly the motivation I needed to keep going. I ran quite a bit further than normal, and when I say further I mean like 100yds, and when I say normal I mean over a week ago when I ran around the block. Whatever, that's beside the point, I ran further than usual and that's all that matters. So once Shelby caught up to me, which didn't take long, we ran a smidge further and then took a break and walked. Once we got to the end of the street we were on, we ran again but this time I told him my startling discovery of motivation, so the great husband that he is ran just a few feet behind me the whole way home.
Now don't tell me that's not great!?
He completely sacrificed his man-hood to let me think I'm winning!

It's 3am and.....
So it's around 3:20 in the morning and I've been laying in bed for close to an hour trying to sleep but apparently that's not going to happen. I even prayed that the Lord would calm me down and help me sleep but clearly His will says otherwise...whatever, I'm not bitter.
Anyways, here's a little re-cap of how my night has gone...
I went into work at 8pm (yes I said pm) and didn't get off until around 2:15am (really, I'm not kidding). The reason for all this madness is my jobs glorious set changes.
Let me explain a little more about it... basically I spent the last 6 hours moving furniture, pedestal's, dishes, setting shelves, etc. But let me tell you this is no easy task (the whole setting shelves part to be exact), in fact the man (I'm assuming it's a man because no woman would be this idiotic) who designed these shelves should do all of us a favor and put a bullet through his leg (notice I said leg instead of head to make it sound a tad bit nicer) because the pain he should feel would be somewhat equivalent to the stress and pain we went through tonight trying to get them in place.
Set changes are NO easy task, in fact they are pretty stressful and extremely tiring. (Ok, it wasn't all bad, I love my co-workers and I might have thrown in a few dance parties throughout the night, jammed out to some Ashley Simpson, Shania Twain, Eminem....whatever) Which brings me to my next thought (I know, your jumping with joy to read the next sarcastic comment I'm about to write).....
How is it that after 6 hours straight of ridiculous hard work do I not run into my apartment, jump into my comfy bed and immediately fall asleep with such relief??
Yeah, I don't know the answer to that question either. Apparently I'm supposed to be here at what is now 3:41am, blogging, so my whole 7 followers (and my mom) can read about my night. But my incredibly intelligent mind just can't shut off. Here's a little re-cap of my thoughts....because I know you want to know (you probably don't want to know):
"I wonder who such and such (insert name here) would have as bridesmaids whenever she gets married? I know she would have me as a bridesmaid....she better have me as a bridesmaid! I wonder where I would stand in line? I know her sister would be MOH, and then ______would definitely come next, and then I bet it would be me. Wait.....CRAP! I forgot she is really good friends with _______! I wonder if I would come before or after her.....surely before!" ...side note....we ALL know you stand in order of importance....and even if you don't, we all assume that's how you did it. Me, on the other hand, stood my girls up in order of how long I'd known each one (with the exception of Kendal and Christi because, in fact, they have both known me since birth, so it was kind of a tie). ....end of side note.... I know this all seems strange, but I want to be a bridesmaid SO bad! Yeah, I know, who Really wants to be a bridesmaid? I do. I've never been one and the whole planning of showers, bachelorette parties, etc seems Really fun to me! I know how awesome all of my girls were (holla) and all the amazing ladies who threw my shower and I want to be part of that for someone else (other than just my sister, I mean that's a given because I'm awesome and she loves me so much).
Now don't ask me why I was thinking about all this at 3am because I couldn't tell you. In fact, I'm feeling pretty brave just admitting it to you.
It's embarrassing.

Walking to the beat....
So as I walked through North Commuter to my car an awesome Celine Dion song came on my ipod and yes, I might have changed the pace of my walk to match the beat of the song. This might seem odd but I thought it a better option because 2 seconds before that I considered busting out into dance. Although I did refrain from this action simply because there were quite a few others walking to thier cars as well. They might think I was weird....
On a different note:
I finally finished our tree skirt and stockings, And we got our tree put up!
And yes, I do have an enourmously obnoxious star on the top of our tree!
It's also adorned with the cutest little fluffy owl from Pier 1, a snowball garland I made from silver thread and white pom poms, some super glittery pears and apples, and some clear glass balls I filled with strips cut out of an old book. Its not finished yet but our homemade 'vintage mod' tree is on its way to completion.

So I decided...
So I decided weddings and all that goes with, such as wedding pictures, engagement pics, and bridals, are awesome. How often do you have a justified reason to post TONS of pictures of yourself without being criticized?
On that note, here are a few favorites from our Awesome day...

Curious to know...
I'm curious to know if anyone else has ever looked at their shadow to see how they walk? I realize that a shadow probably isn't the best level of judgement when your trying to discern the way people see you, but have you ever looked at your shadow and thought "Wow! I walk like a moron!" Well, I do. Quite frequently actually. I just happened to think about it today as I walked all the way to my car from Human Sciences (all because the stupid bus drove off right when I walked up to it, and trust me, North Commuter is ALOT further away than you think. Especially when your wearing Uggs. They can be really heavy and cumbersome.) Kinda like all those girls who can't walk in stiltetos to save their lives. Well, yes, they can technically walk in them but they haven't yet figured out that your center of gravity tends to shift a bit when you throw a 3-4 inch spike underneath your heels. You know what I'm talking about, they tend to lean forward and walk as if someone has a rope around their neck pulling them. I'm pretty sure I don't do that when I wear heels, (mostly because Kendal and I did a heel walking test in front of each other one day to make sure) but maybe those girls should spend a little more time looking at their shadow!

Controversy
The last few days/weeks, all I've heard or seen on facebook is constant ranting about the Rangers, Yankees, who is a fan, who isn't a fan, "Go Rangers", "Go Yankees", "Rangers you can do it", "It's ok Yankees, you will get them next time", etc...(You get my drift).
Anyways, this whole post is to proclaim my hate for baseball.
Yes, I said, I hate baseball. It's by far the most boring sport to watch and the one professional baseball game I went to, I fell asleep. (No kidding. I got a good little nap in) Is this un-American? Probably. Do I care? Not at all!
On a more positive note (sourda), people keep griping about "Bandwagon Ranger fans". Who cares!
**It's not like Texas where everyone and their dog is a Texas fan because they Always win. (By the way, those t-shirt fans probably aren't so proud to wear orange right now are they? Maybe we will start to see a little more red and black in the clothing section of Wal-mart. haha)
Back to my rant....
People who normally don't care that much are proud that the underdog is actually winning AND that they are from Texas! Texas pride? Heck yeah! I think its awesome that people are excited for them. Now me, on the other hand, I could still care less. But for those new Rangers fans who don't now CJ something or other from Josh Hamilton, keep cheering, I see nothing wrong with it.
